A PATH OF ART & LIFE

After studying at the Institut Pratique du Journalisme in Paris, she began her career in journalism. She then joined a major French weekly magazine.

But in 2005, her life was turned upside down: she was diagnosed with cancer and spent two years in a wheelchair. Her ordeal gave rise to a vibrant and sincere slam poem, which was sold to raise funds for the Ligue contre le cancer (League against cancer). It was a cry from the heart, a breath of life.

In 2019, motivated by a desire to share her experience with other patients, she completed a University Diploma in Cancer Expertise at the Sorbonne University Faculty of Medicine in Paris.

This was followed by a natural shift towards painting. It was a rebirth through colour and texture. Each canvas became a heartbeat, a breath, a different way of existing.

The thing that sets Lask apart is her unique relationship with colour. She isn’t satisfied with the colours of the world: she invents them, sculpts them, brings them to life, creating a deeply unique visual signature. Her palette is not just a tool; it’s a way of speaking.

Her style, at the crossroads of impressionism and abstraction, is impossible to categorise. The result is a dreamlike, suspended emotion. The artist’s work is both bold and delicate, intriguing, touching and captivating all who come across it.

Because Lask doesn’t just paint pictures. She paints life – both her own and ours – with a vision that turns pain into ligh.
